ABOUT LINDA DAUBEMs. Daube is licensed to practice law in California and has been providing legal services to public agencies for over 25 years, serving both as an in-house counsel and outside contract attorney. She was the contract City Attorney for the City of Pittsburg, California, for 6 years, spent 9 years as the Deputy City Attorney for the City of Long Beach responsible for all labor and employment matters involving the City’s 6,000 employees and 19 departments, and for 5 years served as the Chair of the Labor and Employment Practice group for a large California law firm that provided legal services to public entities. Since September 2012, Linda has served as labor counsel to the City of San Bernardino on matters related to the City’s Chapter 9 Bankruptcy proceedings. In addition to assisting the Human Resources Department, Linda has worked with the City Attorney’s and the City Manager’s offices to coordinate efforts related to the labor issues resulting from the bankruptcy filing including serving as chief spokesperson in the negotiations of new bargaining agreements with the City’s seven (7) labor unions and employee units. |
